Tricia Opstad, MS, CCC-SLP, is a speech language pathologist licensed in the state of Montana working with people to address a variety of communication, hearing, language, literacy and speech challenges across the life span.
Tricia is a personable therapist who enjoys communicating with people from all walks of life. She meets each client with openness and understands each person’s story is different. Tricia’s approach and therapy focuses on functionality and how a person communicates to access everything they want out of life.
Tricia has a keen ability to recognize and showcase individual talents focusing on people’s strengths to increase motivation to change, promote engaged learning and integrate positivity into therapy.
Speech-language pathologists, as defined by The American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA), hold the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech- Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), which requires a master's, doctoral, or other recognized postbaccalaureate degree. ASHA-certified speech-language pathologists complete a supervised postgraduate professional experience and pass a national examination as described in the ASHA certification standards. Demonstration of continued professional development is mandated for the maintenance of the CCC- SLP.
